Tiny Joys

Tiny Joys

For the moments that quietly hold us together.

There was a time when I thought healing would arrive all at once.

I imagined it would feel like waking up one morning with all the answers. Like one conversation, one prayer, or one breakthrough would suddenly make everything make sense.

But life doesn’t usually work that way.

More often than not, healing arrives quietly.

It shows up in moments so ordinary that we almost miss them.

A cup of coffee before the rest of the house wakes up.

Fresh sheets after a long week.

The smell of your favorite perfume lingering on your sweater.

A text from someone who thought of you.

The sound of laughter you didn’t expect to have that day.

A sunset that reminds you to stop looking at your phone for a few minutes.

Tiny joys.

The kind that don’t erase what’s difficult.

But somehow make carrying it feel a little lighter.

Lately, I’ve been paying closer attention to those moments.

Not because everything has fallen into place.

Not because every prayer has been answered.

Not because life suddenly became easier.

Simply because I’ve realized how easy it is to overlook the very things that keep us going.

We’re often waiting for the next big milestone.

The promotion.

The new beginning.

The healed relationship.

The answered prayer.

The fresh start.

And while we’re looking ahead, life quietly keeps offering us gifts in the present.

A smile from a stranger.

A favorite song playing at just the right moment.

A dinner shared with people you love.

A peaceful drive home.

Clean skin after your nighttime routine.

Fresh flowers on the kitchen table.

None of these things change the world.

But they can change a day.

I’ve learned that joy isn’t always loud.

Sometimes it’s tucked inside the smallest moments.

Sometimes it’s choosing to notice what has always been there.

Maybe that’s what July has been teaching me.

That choosing softness isn’t about pretending life is easy.

That life lately can be both beautiful and complicated.

And that tiny joys aren’t insignificant at all.

They’re often the quiet reminders that hope is still alive.

If you’re reading this today, I hope you give yourself permission to notice one small thing before the day ends.

Not because it solves everything.

But because you deserve moments that make you smile, even while you’re still becoming.

The little things matter.

Maybe more than we realize.

This Week’s Little Love 🤍

Before today ends, write down three small things that made you smile.

They don’t have to be life-changing.

Maybe it was your favorite drink.

A conversation.

A breeze through the window.

A good hair day.

A quiet five minutes to yourself.

Keep the list somewhere you’ll find it again.

You might discover that joy has been visiting you more often than you thought.

With love, always,

Maig
