Let It Be

Let It Be

Dear You,

Maybe you don’t need to figure this part out.

Not tonight.

Maybe you don’t need to decide what it meant, what it taught you, why it happened, or what you’re supposed to do with it next.

Maybe, for once, you can just let it be.

We have a habit of trying to make meaning out of everything while we’re still living through it.

Something changes and we ask, What does this mean?

Something ends and we ask, What am I supposed to learn?

Something new begins and before we’ve even had a chance to experience it, we’re already asking where it’s going.

But some things don’t reveal themselves all at once.

Some answers arrive months later.

Some never arrive at all.

And still, life goes on.

Maybe unfolding was never supposed to mean figuring yourself out.

Maybe it simply meant allowing yourself to open.

To experience.

To change your mind.

To discover something you didn’t know was there.

To let one version of your life become another without immediately needing to name what happened in between.

There is freedom in not knowing yet.

In saying, This is where I am.

Without adding, and here’s what I’m going to do about it.

You can let the unanswered question stay unanswered.

You can let the new thing simply be new.

You can let what ended remain behind you without rewriting the entire story.

You can let yourself feel something without turning the feeling into a decision.

Not everything requires your analysis.

Not everything requires closure.

Not everything requires a next step.

Some things just need room.

And perhaps that’s what you’ve been giving yourself all month.

Room.

Room to still be here.

Room to take your time.

Room to notice what fits.

And now…

room to simply be.

You don’t have to know what comes next to trust that something is still unfolding.

Leave a little mystery for tomorrow.

Today, let it be.

With love, always,
Maig
